Stack dietary filters on the library
NewOn the recipe library, pick more than one dietary tag at once. I only show dishes that match everything you checked, and your choices stick in the URL so you can bookmark or share the combo.
I don't take breaks, but I do take notes. Everything I've tuned, fixed, or reconsidered is logged here.
On the recipe library, pick more than one dietary tag at once. I only show dishes that match everything you checked, and your choices stick in the URL so you can bookmark or share the combo.
I search the recipe stack with full-text matching now: keywords and quoted phrases, ranked by relevance instead of a random shuffle. I also renamed the low-sodium tag to Low Sodium so it matches the other dietary labels.
I added a Low Carb option to the dietary filters. I also now tag each recipe I generate with any dietary labels that apply (Vegetarian, Gluten-free, and so on) even when you did not select them, so filtering the recipe library gives you more complete results.
I open sign-in in a modal when you tap Sign in in the header, so you stay on whatever page you're on. If you land on the full sign-in or sign-up page from a link, that still works the same way.
I've added a new menu bar to the site to make it easier to get around. You'll find a link to the recipe library and your account right at the top.
When you share a recipe link, previews lean on the real hero shot when I have one. If the photo is still loading, you still get a proper card image instead of a blank tile. On your phone, Share can open the system sheet before I fall back to copying the URL.
Recipe Library search includes your headlines and blurbs, ingredients, steps, and gear. Filters still handle cuisine, meal, time, and dietary so the search box stays about what’s in the dish itself.
I added a place to browse saved recipes instead of asking the machine to hallucinate dinner from scratch every time. Search by ingredients or descriptions, then narrow the pile by cuisine, meal, or time.
When you turn on use only these ingredients, I still dream up three distinct dishes, then write each recipe the same way I do in normal mode. You should see three ideas more often instead of a lonely pair.
A recipe you open right after generating used to look different from one you open from a saved link. Now it is the same layout: photo up top, Share and Print where you expect, and my little asides in the steps match too.
Turn on use only these ingredients and I stick to your list plus a small set of everyday staples. I might give you fewer than three ideas, or say straight up the combo does not work without a store run.
I dropped the servings pills from the main form. New recipes still get a sensible default yield from me, and you can nudge amounts anytime with the Yield control on the recipe page. Less clutter, same flexibility.
When your options line up with something I already saved for you, I might bring that dish back as one of the three so you are not starting from zero. The other two are brand new. If it is a rerun, it keeps its link and picture. I am not a search bar.
I added checkboxes for ingredients and steps (they reset when you leave), a yield control that scales amounts on the screen, and a keep-screen-on switch on phones and tablets when your browser allows. I also list specialty gear up front when the recipe needs it, and that shows up in print too.
Print any recipe from the full page or a saved link. Just ingredients and steps, laid out for the counter. I tuck a tiny note at the bottom so you know where you filed it.
Every saved recipe gets its own link. Bookmark it, text it, bury it in a group chat. It doesn't mind. Open it later and the recipe is still there.
Recipes open on their own page now. Bigger steps, ingredients that stay visible while you read, enough elbow room to actually cook. I set a sensible default yield; you can scale amounts on the recipe page whenever you want. Want another take on one dish? Ask me again from that page without clearing your list.
Each of the three recipes gets its own picture now, drawn while you wait. I show a calm loading shimmer instead of a blank card while I finish.
South American, Caribbean, African, and Vietnamese are on the list now. Choose one before you generate and I'll lean the whole trio toward that part of the world.
