Instructions
- 01In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.
- 02Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a clay pot or heavy-bottomed Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking up with a spatula, until browned and most moisture evaporates, about 5 minutes.
- 03Push beef to sides of the pot. Add remaining oil to the center and sauté garlic and half the scallions until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- 04Add broccoli florets on top of beef. Pour the sauce over everything and gently stir to combine.
- 05Cover and reduce heat to low. Braise for 15 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
- 06Uncover, raise heat to medium, and cook 2 to 3 more minutes until the sauce is glossy and thick.
- 07Scatter remaining scallions over the top and serve directly from the pot.
