Instructions
- 01Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon of the melted butter.
- 02Lay the bottom halves of the dinner rolls in a single, tight layer in the prepared baking dish.
- 03Spread leftover mac and cheese evenly over the roll bottoms, mounding slightly if needed.
- 04Drizzle half the marinara sauce over the mac and cheese.
- 05Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella over the sauced mac and cheese.
- 06Place the top halves of the dinner rolls onto the cheese-topped mac to sandwich it all together.
- 07Brush the tops of the rolls generously with the remaining melted butter.
- 08Mix garlic powder and oregano with grated Parmesan, then sprinkle that evenly over the buttered roll tops.
- 09Pour the remaining marinara sauce in dollops over the roll tops, then scatter the remaining mozzarella over everything.
- 10Cover the dish loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- 11Uncover and bake another 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and the roll tops are deeply browned.
- 12Let rest 5 minutes, then scatter with fresh basil before slicing and serving.
