Herb's take
Welcome to the American kitchen remix, where last night's pizza and a jar of peanut butter become a dinner worthy of applause (and maybe a fork and knife). If you’ve never pressed pizza in a skillet or tried peanut butter with pepperoni, prepare to have your taste buds both puzzled and delighted.

Instructions
- 01Lay out the half pizza on a cutting board and slice it into four equal wedges.
- 02Open each wedge like a book by carefully slicing horizontally through the crust, stopping just before cutting all the way through (think of it as butterflying a pork chop but tastier).
- 03Spread about 1 tablespoon of peanut butter inside each pizza slice, ensuring even coverage over the cheese and pepperoni.
- 04Close each wedge, gently pressing to keep the peanut butter inside.
- 05Spread the softened butter on the outsides of each pizza wedge, covering both the top and the bottom crust.
- 06Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot.
- 07Place the pizza sandwiches in the skillet, buttered sides out. Press each one gently with a spatula or a clean pan to flatten them slightly.
- 08Cook 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until the crust is deep golden brown and crisp and the peanut butter is visibly melting. If needed, work in batches.
- 09Remove from skillet. Let rest 2 minutes before slicing in half and serving.
- 10Serve hot, with napkins and a sense of culinary adventure.
